Electric vehicle (EV) charging platform Zap-Map has announced a new partnership with fuel and EV charging company Allstar Business Solutions Limited to provide a payment solution for fleets.
The agreement will support Allstar to enhance its on-the-road charging offer to its customer, with additional features provided through the Zap-Map app.
Paul Holland, managing director of UK Fuel at Allstar Business Solutions said: “Teaming up with Zap-Map has been a key strategic move for Allstar, allowing us to help offer our customers a seamless experience when charging on the road. Zap-Map has over 10 years of industry experience and we are excited to be joining forces.”
Zap-Map’s app provides a detailed map of charging location in the UK, and allows drivers to search for chargers, pay for charging and share live updates.
There are now 180,000 UK users of the app, and the company has signed a number of notable agreements in recent months to expand its service. For example, GRIDSERVE Electric Highway joined the app in September.
Additionally, Connected Kerb signed up to Zap-Map’s Zap-Pay service in November, joining the likes of ESB Energy, GeniePoint, char.gy and Motor Fuel Group.
“As fleets are now rapidly transitioning to EVs, it’s essential that their experience is as smooth as possible,” said Alex Earl, commercial director at Zap-Map.
“We have been developing services for the EV community for over 10 years and with Allstar’s vast experience of providing services to fleets, we are convinced that together we can have a real positive impact as they increasingly move to electric mobility.”
