Allstar Business Solutions has completed a strategic partnership with rapid and ultra-rapid charge point network Motor Fuel Group (MFG) to add the firm to its electric vehicle (EV) network.
With the strategic partnership, Allstar’s charging network will gain an additional 40 ultra-rapid EV charging hubs, taking the network to more than 8,600 charge points across 3,100 locations, the company said.
This bolsters efforts to scale charging infrastructure to supplement the growing number of the EV drivers on the UK roads. The partnership also allows MFG customers to be added to the Allstar One network that is accessible via an electric card allowing for greater accessibility to EV charging.
“Businesses are increasingly adopting EVs into their fleets, so it’s our mission to make their integration as seamless as possible,” said Tom Rowlands, managing director of global EV solutions at Allstar Business Solutions.
“That means helping drivers get back on the road quickly through access to rapid charging, which is why MFG, and their convenient locations for rapid and ultra-rapid charging, were the perfect partners to add to our network. Now Allstar is able to offer our customers one of the fastest charging networks for fleets in the UK.”
This partnership builds on an ever-growing surge in popularity for Allstars card. Last month, GRIDSERVE signed a new partnership with Allstar Business Solutions, meaning its EV charging card can now be used as a third-party payment method at Electric Highway chargers.
The partnership makes the Allstar One Electric car the first fleet card to be accepted across the Electric Highway, including GRIDSERVE’s High Power Electric Super Hubs, Medium Power Electric Hubs and Electric Forecourts in Braintree and Norwich.
“MFG is dedicated to keeping motorists on the move and that includes the UK’s businesses. Our hub format reduces queuing and our 150kW ensure you’ll be back on the road as soon as possible,” said Ed Chadwick director of EV at MFG.
“Our forecourt locations also offer toilets, wifi and coffee to keep drivers going too. We are delighted to welcome Allstar as our first Managed Service Provider.”
