Electric Miles and Project EV have signed a three year contract, with plans for around 100,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
The chargers will be deployed by Project EV and exclusively controlled by Electric Miles’ Smart Charging platform.
Using the Electric Miles app to smart charge can save motorists up to 40% on their charging bills, the company said. The smart charging platform integrated demand side flexibility services, and currently provides about 23MW of Demand Side Response (DSR) through three deals with distribution system operators. This includes a contract with UK Power Networks, signed in May.
Arun Anand, CEO and founder of Electric Miles said they were “very excited to deliver our services to Project EV” given its network of 20,000 residential chargers.

From next June, all residential chargepoints in the UK will have to be smart enabled, opening up the potential for increased use of EVs for flexibility.
