Good Energy has teamed up with Cambridge-based software provider Jumptech, to support its electric vehicle charging offering One Point.
The software will help the energy company in a mobile form to capture essential customer data, as well as a workflow management too. It will also provide a mobile field app for engineers which will help track work progress.
Juliet Davenport, Good Energy’s CEO and founder, said: “Good Energy believes in partnerships, bringing the best companies out there to deliver innovative propositions for our customers.
“Jumptech fits that brief: innovative; intelligent; and passionate about the zero carbon economy. Their new platform is a unique resource and will offer our One Point electric vehicle charging product to more businesses investing in zero carbon transport.”
One Point was launched last October as an ‘all-in-one’ EV charging service that will see Good Energy recommend, install and maintain charging services through partnerships with Swarco and RAW Charging.
Good Energy will then supply all the change points with 100% renewable electricity. The first site to be developed within the project was Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall, at which the company has installed four chargers.
Founder of Jumptech, Phil Nunn, added: “We’re delighted to be supporting Good Energy, assisting with their One Point EV proposition and looking forward to helping them to scale their EV offerings as the market grows”.
Good energy has been building its role in the EV sector, following the acquisition of a 12.9% stake in Zap-Map in March 2019. In March 2020, it signed a new partnership with EV charging company Engenie to support new rapid and fast charging business opportunities.
The clean energy company is not the only supplier putting together an EV rollout, with ScottishPower, Drax and Centrica all having launched end-to-end solutions last year.
