LevelTen Energy has launched a new software tool able to provide real-time data and analytics based on market activity in North America and Europe.
The LevelTen MarketPulse provides users with access to anonymised power purchase agreement (PPA) price data as well as renewable energy project data and analytics from the wider LevelTen Energy Marketplace platform.
With access to the cloud-based software, clean energy developers, buyers and investors will be able to analyse the market with greater depth leading to more informed decision making.
A unique aspect of the platform is that it allows clients to obtain PPA price data, a grey area that is often only shared between buyers and sellers. Providing access to this data could prove to be vital in generating investment confidence in the renewable energy sector.
“MarketPulse expands LevelTen’s platform and delivers greater transparency into the PPA market. MarketPulse empowers energy sellers to price their PPAs more effectively, buyers to quickly compare and benchmark price offers, and investors to conduct thorough due diligence and inform financial models,” said Prasun Chaudhury, director of Data Solutions at LevelTen Energy.
“Instant access to fresh data is even more critical in today’s volatile energy market, which has been changing rapidly over the past two years.”
The MarketPulse platform has several filters that allow users to search for various data. This includes those searching for PPA price data based on geography, development maturity, and other advanced attributes.
It also shows historical data associated with PPA’s, projected settlement values and charts and maps to illustrate areas of concentrated demand.
Data and analytics will be gathered from the LevelTen Energy Marketplace platform, which connects buyers and sellers in a digital format.
This platform has more than 90% of renewable energy developers in North America and more than 60% of developers in Europe active on the online market, according to LevelTen.
