Energy firm Limejump has bolstered its technological expertise with the appointment of a new chief technology officer.
Sameer Vartak joins Limejump from finance firm Pockit, with the energy tech firm pointing in particular to Vartak’s experience in scaling technology solutions.
Vartak said that he opted to join Limejump having assessed the level of innovation and the potential to make a lasting impact in today’s energy industry.
Meanwhile Limejump has also moved to appoint a new finance director, Dan Perrett, taking the firm’s headcount to 50 as it continues to expand.
Erik Nygard, chief executive and co-founder at Limejump, added: “We are extremely excited that individuals with the calibre such as Sameer and Dan have decided to join our closely bonded team and bring their acumen and ideas to our business.”
“Within Limejump we are building a culture based on our values to challenge, innovate and deliver sustainability together. Our new colleagues join us at a critical time as we continue to drive innovation in the energy sector and challenge the traditional legacy of this industry towards a more sustainable future.”
Last month Limejump set itself ambitious growth targets, aiming to take on 1GW of active battery storage capacity within the next four years, an almost eight-fold increase of its current portfolio size of 130MW.
