NewMotion has partnered Ford, providing its drivers with access to its EV charging network.
Under the partnership, drivers of European Ford plug-in hybrids will be able to charge up via NewMotion’s network.
Drivers will be provided with a charge card and smart phone app to give them access to the network, which currently includes over 118,000 charge points in 30 countries.
The partnership will be effective this autumn, with the aim of helping Ford drivers locate and pay for charging more easily.
Sytse Zuidema, CEO of NewMotion, said the partnership will give the charge point operator “new opportunities to power up the e-mobility revolution.”
Mark McMahon, manager of business development and EV services,Team Edison at Ford of Europe, said the automotive giant was “excited” to work with NewMotion for public charging due to the size of the network- which claims to be the largest roaming network in Europe.
