The National Association for Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) is urging installers to take advantage of growth in the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
David Cowburn, managing director of NAPIT Certification explained: “Householders are seriously considering renewable heating solutions to combat rising energy bills by switching away from conventional heating systems. The ability to generate income from generating heat overcomes the barrier of the installation costs to such a degree that RHI is proving to be a game changer. During this period installers could take advantage of this growth prediction by making sure they can offer alternative solutions for householders.”
The organisation points to research published by energy and research consultancy, Delta-ee which predicts that the low-carbon heating market could treble by 2017. Delta-ee predicts that the UK residential market could balloon from 30,000 installs in 2014 to 90,000 installations in 2017.
