A new platform has been developed in an existing partnership between Tusker and Diode to support businesses in making the switch to electric vehicles (EVs).

The partnership will provide businesses with data-driven workplace charging recommendations and let employees assess EV suitability with the aim of making the procurement process easier.

The new digital platform will generate electrification guidance reports for businesses. The first step of this is a thorough analysis of each employee and vehicle, which allows managers to build an overall picture of the suitability of individual employees for EVs and their workplace charging needs.

Diode’s platform gathers data on all vehicles and employees, including private car drivers, and processes this information to give each business a dynamic Charging Infrastructure Recommendation.

This recommendation calculates the number and type of chargepoints the company needs over the next five years, and the estimated cash savings it will make over this period.

An individual EV readiness report is also generated for every employee in a company, which includes an interactive tool to assess how different EVs would fit into their lifestyle. They can also purchase a home chargepoint from the same dashboard.

Jon Horsfield, founder and CEO of Diode, said: “Our new data driven reporting platform, which will be used in partnership with Tusker, will give employees the confidence to make the switch and businesses the tool to get the right amount of workplace charging installed.”

It follows Diode recently partnering Co Charger, with the latter's business customers given free access to Diode’s Charge Platform software through this, allowing them to engage and educate their employees to give them confidence to make the switch to EV.
