OVO Energy has partnered with online vehicle leasing firm Vanarama to offer electric vehicle (EV) leasing deals through a new partner site.
Customers who lease a new ‘Hot Offer’ EV will qualify for a full installed home EV charger and a year’s free insurance. Additionally, OVO’s Free Green Miles scheme converts EV miles into a reduction in energy bills, allowing customers can save money on charging their vehicle and on their household energy.
When these elements are taken together, the two companies said they believe the scheme creates the UK’s best value and most affordable route to electric motoring.
From today (9 June) a new section on OVO’s website will be available, offering a range of tools, information and advice for those considering making the switch to an EV.
Using OVO’s website, customers can choose to be redirected to the new partner site to access EV leasing through Vanarama.
It comes only a few months after OVO launched its OVO Drive division, with this intended to support the expansion of OVO’s EV offerings. The company also recently created a new ‘type of use’ tariff for EV charging that offers a flat rate of 6p/kWh at any time of day.
This tariff – dubbed the OVO Drive Anytime tariff – is designed to protect drivers from fluctuating electricity prices, with live data on energy pricing, the weather and local network constraints used to shift EV charging away from peak times to capture the greenest and cheapest electricity on the market.
