Last week’s UK black out was unlikely to have been the result of either high renewable generation or a cyber attack, National Grid chief exec John Pettigrew has said.
The sudden loss of nearly 2GW of generation triggered a stress event and power cuts experienced up and down the country on Friday evening (9 August 2019).
