The UK has taken ‘a major step’ towards the electric vehicle revolution according to the government after the Automated and Electric Vehicles Act completed its passage through parliament.
The roll out of central London’s largest lamp post electric vehicle charging network is nearing completion in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with over 50 chargers ready for use.
The government’s £11 billion roll-out of smart meters must be judged by the long-term benefits it offers consumers, energy minister Jesse Norman has insisted.
