The number of electric vehicle (EV) chargers installed across the UK has risen to 18,265 according to figures released by the Department for Transport (DfT).
Up to 40,000 chargers would need to be installed per month between now and 2035 for every motorist without private parking to have access to a dedicated charger.
The government’s EV charging fund is to have a broad scope, looking at “all geographical areas” of the UK, all charging speeds and a variety of use cases.
Supermarket chain Morrisons is to install rapid EV chargers at its sites nationwide after partnering with EV charging provider ChargePoint Services (CPS).
