​NatWest has completed a financing deal with storage and flexible generation company Statera Energy to support eight new projects in the UK.

The government has confirmed that it will extend the negative pricing rule for projects bidding in next year’s Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction, but will further consult with the industry on potential amendments for energy storage and system flexibility.

Car manufacturer Renault has created a new energy subsidiary which will create smart charging networks, explore vehicle-to-grid (V2G) solutions and utilise second-life EV batteries for stationary energy storage projects.
