Anglian Water Business (AWB) has signed an agreement with energy supplier Corona Energy to offer a tri-utility supply of water, gas and electricity to business customers.
The ‘white label contract’ offered by the two companies means AWB will be able to add gas and electricity supply to its water supply and wastewater services offering.
The company says the partnership will build on its existing reputation for energy efficiency audits, energy and water saving technologies, investment-free installation and shared payback schemes.
Bob Wilson, managing director of Anglian Water Business, said: “Offering businesses the ability to choose water, gas and electricity from one quality supplier makes sense. Customers will benefit from simpler billing and effortless management of all their utility requirements from a single, trusted and service-driven organisation.
“The result will be a fully joined up and accountable supply and service offering across water, gas and electricity with a single point of contact, one telephone number and 24/7 access to online account management.”
Businesses will be able to fix their gas and electricity prices for up to five years, which AWB says will allow them to forecast costs accurately and budget more effectively by addressing potential volatility in energy pricing.
Matt Gray, managing director of Corona Energy, added: “We’re delighted to sign this deal as Anglian Water Business’s new supplier partner and look forward to helping them simplify energy management for British businesses, with a streamlined approach to tri-utility supply, based on excellent service, value and convenience.”
