Energy consultancy Utilitywise and business water supplier Business Stream have collaborated to launch a “one-stop utility solution” for business customers.
The partnership will see the two companies provide SMEs, initially in Scotland only, gas, electricity and water rates from one supplier, promising to simplify the way businesses receive utility bills.
The offer will initially be launched in Scotland, however it is expected to be extended to SMEs in England from April next year as soon as the water supply market is deregulated.
Brendan Flattery, chief executive at Utilitywise, said: “We are delighted to be partnering Business Stream to provide a one-stop utility solution to their customers across Scotland… This partnership will provide Business Stream customers with access to competitive energy prices as well as cutting edge technologies and services to help them reduce utility consumption and save even more money on their electricity, gas and water bills.”
Utilitywise created the offering after more than half of respondents to a sponsored survey of Scottish businesses said they were interested in receiving a combined electricity, gas and water bill.
An initial promotion will also coincide with the product’s launch to offer new sign-ups a cashback incentive on their gas and electricity contracts.
“This is an innovative, triple utility offer designed to appeal to SME customers, enabling them to save time, money and effort. This new partnership makes it easier for customers to buy all their essential utilities in one place and to manage their accounts online at a time and place which suits them,” Jo Dow, chief executive at Business Stream, said.
