Digital sales journey specialist for vehicle providers, Diode, will now provide the technology for Athlon’s EV Ready Tool which offers an electric vehicle (EV) suitability assessment for businesses.
Following the partnership, each employee in businesses using the vehicle leasing and fleet management company’s EV Ready Tool will receive a personalised EV readiness report detailing the convenience of charging and running cost savings, as well as a detailed breakdown of charging cost and frequency for every EV in the market.
Following this, businesses will have access to the dynamic business insights board, detailing a range of data collected by the tool to help support their EV transition. This includes a company-wide overview of EV readiness and the number of chargepoints that would be required for sufficient charging availability.
Businesses will also be able to begin the processes of installing workplace and home chargepoints, with the tool’s support.
The tool will link back to Athlon’s sales journey, allowing businesses to select the appropriate replacement vehicles or else let the employees pick their preferred EVs themselves.
Diode stated that this step maximises the number of EV sales by tapping into latent demand for company car and salary sacrifice sales opportunities, as well as presenting the opportunity to re-engage with drivers upon vehicle renewal dates.
“We’re very excited to announce our industry-leading partnership with Athlon UK to bring their EV Ready Tool to market. We’ve worked closely with the team to create a bespoke sales journey and proposition to make the electrification process much easier for existing and new business customers and their employees,” said founder and CEO of Diode, Jon Horsfield.
In equal praise of the partnership, Richard Dainty, head of marketing of Athlon UK added: “The biggest barrier to EV adoption is knowledge and perceived suitability. The EV Ready Tool removes both of these barriers by providing personalised insight based on the driver’s precise driving routines and requirements. Jargon-proof reports empower the driver with statistics and costs bespoke to them. This data can also provide fleet managers with valuable insight towards electrifying their fleet policy.”
