EQUANS – the new brand for ENGIE’s services led activities – has secured a five-year deal to supply, commission and operate a network of chargers for NatWest.
A total of 600 sockets are to be in place by 2023, with these to be accessible to staff, visitors and customers at NetWest offices using the EQUANS GeniePoint network, with ENGIE also owning the GeniePoint network.
Alfen Pro-Line 74kW dual chargers are to be installed, with the bank having chosen locations where the demand is high and power readily available.
The first location to receive the EV chargers will be Belfast Donegall Square East, which is set to have them installed in the coming weeks.
Jerry Moloney, managing director for EQUANS’ Futures business in the UK & Ireland, said: “The only way we will convince a greater proportion of the population to consider electric vehicles is by giving them greater options and better access to chargers. This investment from NatWest does exactly that.”
In May, ENGIE scooped up another contract to rollout electric vehicle chargers, this time to install 50kW+ chargers at 19 Asda locations in West Yorkshire.
