EO Charging has been named as the London EV Company’s official charging partner in Scotland.
Charge point manufacturer EO will support LEVC, which manufacturers electric London taxis, with the supply and installation of home EV charging manufacturers throughout the country under the exclusive agreement.
Owners of LEVC’s electric taxi will be offered an EO Mini Pro, and EO said it had developed a network of installers in Scotland to support the installation works.
Richard Turnbull, head of EV infrastructure at LEVC, said; “Smart home charging provides our customers with a range of benefits including the ability to schedule charging and take advantage of off-peak energy tariffs, which is especially important to commercial vehicle operators.”
Meanwhile Ryan Spillane, head of commercial sales at EO Charging, pointed to Scotland’s regulatory framework for EVs – notably more ambitious than that of the UK – as providing a “clear indication” of its commitment to transport electrification.
With plans being drawn up for low-emission zones in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen – taxi and commercial vehicle drivers need to think carefully about the next vehicle they purchase.”
Earlier this year EO Charging partnered with clean energy supplier Bulb to establish what claimed to be the country’s first “fully open” EV charging network for Suffolk County Council.
