Renewable energy supplier Good Energy has signed a new partnership with electric vehicle (EV) installers RAW Charging.
It will support Good Energy’s new One Point service, which was launched in October to offer an ‘all-in-one’ EV charging service.
One Point is designed to “bring together the best in the EV supply chain, helping businesses invest in clean transport and cut their carbon emissions”, explained the company’s head of sales and partnerships Joe Wadsworth.
“RAW Charging is a natural fit for us; the company has years of experience in delivering gold standard EV projects. We look forward to working with them on new projects to clean up the UK’s transport sector.”
RAW installed the project’s first chargers at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall in the pilot of the scheme. It has now partnered with Good Energy following a tender process, and will continue to rollout chargers which will be powered by the supplier.
Good Energy has also partnered with Engenie to offer businesses rapid charging alongside the fast charging offered through One Point.
RAW Charging’s sales director, Martin Hale, said the company was “very excited” to have been selected and to be working with a “dynamic renewable focused utility”.
“We are finding there are an increasing number of different use cases for electric vehicle charging and to ensure that customers have the right charging infrastructure, we provide an entire suite of scalable EV charging hardware and software solutions for all use cases, ranging from AC slow charging all the way up to DC rapid charging.”
Good Energy is not the only supplier putting together an EV rollout, with ScottishPower, Drax and Centrica all having launched end-to-end solutions last year.
In particular, with the ban on sales of new internal combustion engine vehicles looming and the prospect of it being brought forward to 2035, the EV market is set for continued growth.
