InstaVolt has become the latest electric vehicle (EV) charging network to be available to drivers through EV subscription service Onto.
Access to the chargers are to be available to all Onto customers – with currently over 2,000 available – through an RFID card.
InstaVolt’s network has over 600 chargers nationwide and is capable of delivering up to 125kW charging speeds, increasing the number of rapid chargers that Onto customers have access to and helping to combat range anxiety.
Whilst the companies said they are now offering all customers free charging across the InstaVolt network, Onto’s lowest subscription fee comes in at £399 for a 1-month minimum contract, however this covers not only charging costs, but also the car, insurance, 1,000 miles, breakdown cover, road tax and all manufacturers’ recommended servicing maintenance.
Other EV charging networks to be available through Onto include Shell, Char.gy, ESB and ESB Group, EV-Box, Fastned, NewMotion and Osprey Charging among others.
InstaVolt, meanwhile, recently celebrated a record month for EV charger installations, with 62 rapid chargers set live in March. These were spread across twenty different regions in the UK, with the highest proportions being in Warwickshire (15), Greater London (six) and Oxfordshire (four).
InstaVolt chief executive officer, Adrian Keen, said: “Our goal is to continually support the drive towards a greener and cleaner future, and so it makes sense that we should partner with Onto to help increase uptake in electric vehicles across the country among leaseholders as well as car owners.”
