Kaluza has made three new hires to its leadership teams in the US and UK as it looks to ramp up its international commercialisation.
The company has hired Neel Gulhar as its chief marketing officer (CMO) based in Washington DC, with Gulhar having previously been vice president of product at Oracle.
In his new role as CMO at Kaluza, Gulhar will develop and lead the business’ marketing and regulatory function using his experience in B2B software-as-a-service marketing, product and utility platforms.
Also joining the US team is Ryan Palacheck, who joins as vice president of delivery. Palacheck, too, joins from Oracle, where he oversaw global delivery for the Opower business.
It follows the company hiring Scott Neuman as its CEO based in Washington DC, US last year, with Neuman also having joined from Oracle.
Meanwhile, Tammy Naicker joined Kaluza’s UK team last month as risk and compliance director, having previously held the role of global head of technology assurance at Vodafone.
At Kaluza, Naicker is to oversee compliance with technology and regulatory standards while driving good governance and sound risk management practices.
Launched in 2019 by energy supplier OVO Energy, Kaluza enables suppliers to actively engage their customers in their energy use through personalised digital experiences and insights that help them reduce carbon emissions and energy costs.
Last summer, Kaluza signed a strategic partnership with Innowatts to deploy the two companies’ technologies throughout North America and Europe. As part of the partnership, Kaluza’s demand response services have been made available to Innowatts’ North American utility customers, while Innowatts has made its energy analytics and forecasting modules available to OVO Energy.
Last year also saw OVO Energy license the Kaluza platform to Australia’s largest energy retailer and generator, AGL Energy.
Additionally, Kaluza teamed up with Flexitricity to offer demand response in the Balancing Mechanism, optimising domestic battery storage and electric vehicle batteries.
