Moove has partnered with EV fuel card company Paua to develop a single-access EV charging solution in the UK dubbed “Moove Charge”.
The EV charging network app will help Moove’s customers successfully transition to EVs by providing a simplified, all-in-one access solution to over 6,600 chargepoints located across London.
The interactive app allows users to locate chargepoints, display charge points compatible with their vehicle, show charge point availability in real-time, filter chargepoints by charge speed, start and stop charging and has a wallet functionality for paying.
Moove states the app could provide a cost saving of up to £340 per year, or around 12% of average annual EV charging cost.
“Moove is an impact-led company committed to the electrification of mobility. Our mission is to empower mobility entrepreneurs on ridesharing, e-logistics and last-mile delivery platforms to be more productive and successful, and to achieve financial security,” said Charlotte Bailey, head of Europe at Moove.
“Paua has been a fantastic partner in our mission to support our customers in their transition to EVs.”
Paua aims to simplify the charging process by pairing EV technology with smart phones through its electric fuel card. The Paua card is designed to create an altogether simpler EV driving experience.
Paua recently partnered with EV subscription company Voltric grant its driver-subscribers access to the 20,000+ chargepoints within Paua’s roaming network. This announcement follows a 12-month trial in which current Voltric customers were given access to a Paua single charging card and app platform, allowing them to use any of Paua’s 20 charging networks.
“Soon Londoners will be able to select electric driven forms of transport for all their journeys from micro-mobility, private hire, busses and even their personal car. Providing a universal charging solution to enable this removes another barrier to the adoption of electric vehicles,” said Niall Riddell, CEO and co-founder at Paua.
