Electric vehicle (EV) charging company Ohme is the new official charging partner for Perry Motor Sales group.
Under the agreement, Perrys Motor Sales will recommend Ohme chargers for all new and used EVs, and will feature an Ohme Home Pro charger in showrooms for customers to try out. The deal mirrors a similar partnership which saw Ohme partner with Audi to offer its chargers to their EV customers.
The move follows a recent announcement that Ohme was also partnering with Audi and the company has been quick to increase its partnerships with motor companies.
Darren Ardron, managing director at Perrys Motor Sales, said: “We considered many potential charging partners and it was clear to us that Ohme’s dynamic smart charging capability, award-winning products and excellent customer service made it the obvious choice for Perrys.”
“With EVs accounting for a fifth of all our new car sales across the whole group, we’re outperforming the UK-wide car market, showing that it’s a fast-growing part of the business.”
Ohme’s smart charging technology takes advantage of electricity price fluctuations on the grid to take advantage of off-peak charging tariffs. Its latest charger, the ePod, was launched in January 2023.
