Osprey Charging Network is lauding the installation of the first Tritium RTM75 rapid chargers in Europe, with these located in Gosport, UK.
The RTM75 charger provides up to 75kW of charge to an electric vehicle (EV), with the units installed by Osprey in partnership with Harkalm located at its new Starbucks site in Gosport, operated by 23.5 Degrees.
The RTM75 charger’s power can be increased from 25kW to 50kW and 75kW, providing customers with the flexibility to easily upgrade as site needs change, the two companies said. It also provides options for 6m (20ft) cables with integrated cable management.
Tritium UK country manager, Kevin Pugh, said the company is excited for this “next phase of advanced EV charging technology, with improved user interface”, adding that it is “justifiably proud” of the new RTM75 charger.
A mix of Tritium’s DC chargers are to be installed by Osprey at future sites, with these ranging from 75kW to 350kW.
Currently, Osprey has agreements for over 400 chargepoints across 200 sites in place. In November 2020, it signed a roaming agreement with NewMotion that will see Osprey’s 259 rapid connections added to NewMotion’s public charging network.
It has also signed up to Octopus Energy’s Electric Juice payment interoperability platform as well as having partnered Allstar for a fleet charging payment card.
