Isle of Man eyes 30MW of renewable generation by 2026

The Isle of Man Government has announced plans to decarbonise the island’s electricity supply by 2026 via 30MW’s of solar and onshore wind generation.
The centre will use heat pumps as well solar panels to generate electricity and heat which are said to enable the site to be self-sufficient

Renewable generation cut the UK’s gas consumption by 85TWh since October

The latest figures from the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit’s (ECIUs) Winter Power Tracker, show that renewables generated 42TWh of electricity between 1 October 2022 and 10 February 2023, negating the need for 85TWh of gas.
