EV fuel card firm Paua has unveiled a partnership with Optimize to provide UK businesses with a service that is able to enhance the transition to clean transportation and reduce fears of “range anxiety”.
A primary aspect of the new solution is its ability to incorporate various data points to help businesses optimise zero emission fleets. In doing so, the new product incorporates vehicle routing, scheduling and charging infrastructure to grant greater security and confidence across fleets.
By incorporating Opitmize’s expertise in deploying algorithms, the firm is able to route and schedule fleets for maximum efficiency, helping to reduce a fleet’s overall carbon emissions. These algorithms are able to predict battery capability and available range which in turn could reduce range anxiety.
“This partnership is a demonstration of how we are evolving our offer to meet current and future customer demand,” said Paua CEO, Niall Riddell.
“Increasingly customers are looking for integrated solutions bringing together their EV duty cycles with visibility of the charging infrastructure across the whole of the fleet. Optimize are ahead of the game in this respect and we are already in discussions with a number of key customers to unlock the potential the service offers.”
Paua aims to simplify the charging process by pairing EV technology with smart phones through its electric fuel card. The Paua card is designed to create an altogether simpler EV driving experience.
The decarbonisation of the UK’s businesses is a growing area of concern. By providing solutions that help to simplify this process and increase confidence in the transition to all-electric fleets, the decarbonisation of transportation can be fully realised.
The offering additionally provides businesses with over 23,000 charge points throughout the UK’s road networks.
“Working with Paua will bring significant benefits for customers giving them confidence the vehicles are being used in the most efficiency way, while giving the fleet owners and drivers the peace of mind regarding range and battery performance,” said Optimize CEO Colin Ferguson.
Paua recently partnered with EV subscription company Voltric to grant its driver-subscribers access to the 20,000+ chargepoints within Paua’s roaming network. This announcement followed a 12-month trial in which current Voltric customers were given access to a Paua single charging card and app platform, allowing them to use any of Paua’s 20 charging networks.
