Good Energy announces successor to Juliet Davenport
Good Energy has announced that Nigel Pocklington will take over as chief executive officer, after it was announced the company’s founder Juliet Davenport would step down in February.
Pocklington is joining the company from the Moneysupermarket Group where he was chief commercial officer. He has 25 years of experience as a senior executive with a commercial, digital and operational track record.
Will Whitehorn, chair of Good Energy Group plc, said they were “delighted” to welcome Pocklington as the new CEO.
“Following an extensive search and a thorough evaluation of high-quality candidates, we are confident that Nigel’s digital and transformation experience will help to lead Good Energy in the next stage of the Group’s development.
“This experience will help to accelerate innovation and drive growth across all of our businesses specifically in the new markets net zero of energy and mobility as a service, in which we are already strongly positioned”.
Pocklington is set to take up the post on 1 May 2021, and will also remain a non-executive director for Kin + Carta. Davenport is set to remain on the Good Energy Group plc Board as a non-executive director, and chair of subsidiary Zap-Map.
Pocklington said: “Good Energy is a strong business at the forefront of the transition in the energy market and the UK’s push to net zero. I look forward to leading the business on the next stage of this exciting journey”.
