The energy trade associations RenewableUK, Energy UK and Scottish Renewables have written to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Grant Shapps, urging the government to urgently reform the Contracts for Difference (CfDs) scheme.
Trade association Energy UK has said that the upcoming Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction will fall short of delivering the required expansion of offshore wind to hit the government’s 2030 target.
