Energy company Tesla has revealed that it began to ship an updated version of its commercial battery storage solution last month, featuring doubled energy density.
Tesla has confirmed that its latest electric vehicle, the Model X, will be launching in September but warned that unforeseen problems with suppliers could impact planned production.
Since Tesla Energy's battery system launched last week, partners and collaborators including Sunrun, SolarCity, Edison International, Fronius and SolarEdge have all provided further details.
According to a report by the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Würtemberg (ZSW), more than 740,000 electric cars were on the road so far in 2015.
