With the deadline for nominations for this year’s s Electric Vehicle Innovation and Excellence Awards (EVIEs) fast approaching, there’s still a short window to get your applications in for categories like DiversitEV.
This is the first year Solar Media have run this award – which will be handed out during the glittering ceremony at the Leonardo Royal hotel in St Paul’s on 5 October, the first evening of the EV World Congress – as we look to recognise companies and individuals that have gone the extra mile to boost diversity in the sector.
Entries for all categories in the EVIEs are set to close on Friday 5 August 11:45pm BST, so don’t waste any time, and make sure your efforts are recognised at this years awards ceremony.
Who should enter?
The DiversitEV is designed to recognise EV-related companies, entities or other collectives that have really gone above and beyond in order to promote diversity in the workplace.
We want to hear specific details of how companies have gone about this, be it through hiring or training programmes, public awareness efforts, activism or any other recognised effort to promote diversity.
This a category where we’re particularly keen to get employee testimonials, although any and all evidence regarding the efforts to boost diversity will be assess by our judging panel.
How to enter?
Entering the EVIEs could not be simpler. Our nominations process is entirely online and entrants can submit into as many categories as they wish to from the same profile.
Create a profile on the EVIEs website here. You’ll need a few simple details such as name and email address, and to create a password for your EVIEs account. Click ‘save’ at the bottom of the page to create your account.
Once signed in, clicking ‘The Awards Categories’ will bring up all the entry information and eligibility criteria for each of this year’s categories. To start a submission click on the ‘Submissions’ tab, followed by ‘add new’.
Select which category you intend to enter and fill out the capture form. You’ll be prompted for mandatory details such as name of the entry, and you can add as much or as little detail as you like. Two supporting images and a supporting PDF document can also be attached to your entry.
If you want to save your progress to amend at a later date, click ‘save and continue later’. If you’re happy to submit your entry, click ‘save and submit’.
You can now add multiple entries from the same account. Simply make sure you’re signed up and follow steps two and three again for each submission you wish to make.
Sit back, relax and wait to see if your submission(s) make the shortlists when they are published in September 2022.
