Good Energy has announced a new partnership with electric vehicle (EV) charger installation company Crystal EV Charging.
They will work together to install Vestel charge points with a choice of a standard 7.4kW or fast 22kW chargepoint, with either tethered or untethered charging cables available to customers of the energy supplier.
Vestel smart chargers are WiFi enabled, providing customers with the option to either plug in and charge straight away or schedule charging remotely, Good Energy said. The partnership follows the company’s launch of an EV tariff in July, which offers two overnight off-peak periods to charge at a cheaper rate.
“Smart charging is vital for a future where there are millions of EVs all charging from home,” said Randall Bowen, Good Energy’s chief commercial officer.
“Our new partnership with EV charging experts Crystal means the whole process is made faster and fuss-free. The agreement will offer peace of mind to people who want to charge from home but don’t know where to start.”
Good Energy chose Crystal due to its decades of experience, along with its work across the installation process, from an initial site survey through to maintenance support. Crystal has chosen Vestel as its EV charge point partner due to its smart capabilities.
Dean R Port, Crystal’s chief executive officer, said: “Britain is embarking on a major shift to clean cars. It’s through partnerships like this that we can accelerate the uptake of EVs and support a generation of new drivers looking to install charge points at home. We’re looking forward to working with Good Energy, a 100% clean energy partner.
