The Crown Estate has revealed further details of Round 5 of its offshore wind leasing competition for three floating offshore wind farms in the Celtic Sea.

The Crown Estate has confirmed that the overall available capacity for Offshore Wind Leasing Round 5 has grown to 4.5GW.

Ireland is set to benefit from a new agreement between Statkraft and investment management firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partner (CIP) in which up to 2.2GW of offshore wind will be developed in the nation.

Marine Energy Wales has been awarded a funding package from the Welsh government, securing its work until 2025.
