The UK automotive industry has called for binding targets for public chargepoints as part of a new, seven point plan for the rollout of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.
All new homes and buildings such as workplaces and supermarkets will be required to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers from next year, the government has today (22 November) announced.
Funding for the On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS) will continue into 2021/22, as local authorities are urged to take advantage of a new £20 million funding boost.
