Community benefit fund

Shetland Community Benefit Fund and SSE renewables have signed a new legal agreement to manage the £2.2 million a year fund.

SSEN Transmission has concluded a consultation to seek views on plans for its first ever community benefit scheme, which will see communities living near its transmission infrastructure benefit from funding for local projects. 

EDF Renewables UK is seeking community consultation for a proposed 400MW onshore wind farm located within Wauchope Forest and Newcastleton Forest.
