Businesses across the world are being urged to embrace and accept third party sustainability standards in order to properly contribute towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed at COP21.
More than 350 businesses, including a significant number of major multinational firms, have co-signed a letter addressed to global leaders attending COP22 this week in Marrakech, urging them to support the Paris Climate Agreement.
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has claimed that just 50 businesses are responsible for one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions one day before the landmark Paris Agreement comes into force.
