Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Distribution has set out “innovative solutions” to support electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure on the Isle of Wight in a new study.
Zap-Map’s latest instalment of its EV charging statistics showed that 1,507 new public chargers were been added in November bringing the UK’s total to 36,752.
“When we look at the forecast from now to 2050, we're looking at a doubling of electrical demand from a few hundred-terawatt hours to over 600TWh,” said Barry Hurst, head of business development at Enel X.
