Flexibility market provider Piclo has expanded into Portugal, announcing a new collaboration with E-REDES, Portugal’s largest distribution system operator (DSO).
New flexibility providers are being recruited as part of Project Local Energy Oxfordshire (LEO) in conjunction with Scottish and Southern Electricity Network’s (SSEN) TRANSITION project.
Western Power Distribution’s (WPD) project Intraflex has allowed flexibility services in a local distribution network to be traded in close to real-time continuously, allowing market prices to be determined for the first time, it said.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has awarded Opus One Solutions a contract to develop and deploy solutions to test different flexibility market models.
