The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has this week (18 December) received a £1.5 billion funding boost from the UK government.

A project that will see over 10,000 new homes heated by waste heat from nearby data centres has been granted a share of £65 million funding from the Green Heat Network Fund.

A total of 55 projects have been awarded a share of £13.9 million in the first funding round of Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES).

New government plans unveiled today (4 August) could allow hundreds of thousands of heat network customers benefit from fairer energy prices.

The Department for Energy Security & Net Zero’s (DESNZs) Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) has awarded £91 million between seven low carbon heating projects.
