Energy UK report recommends action plan to fund the energy transition

Energy sector trade body Energy UK has published the final part of its report on the Clean Growth Gap, highlighting the action needed to stop the UK falling behind in the race to net zero.
The Offshore Wind Sector Deal was launched in March 2019 to help grow the sector.

Planned UK onshore wind capacity reaches record highs in 2023

To date, the UK has installed more than 14 GW of onshore wind energy and has a pipeline of planned projects totaling 23 GW. During the second quarter of 2023, there was the highest quarterly capacity submitted into planning so far, suggesting significant future growth of wind developments.
