Eclipse Power has launched a new business unit to design, build and maintain micro grids and private energy networks for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I) developments and data centres.
The proposed smart grid-focused joint venture between Siemens and German energy company Allgäuer Überlandwerk (AUW) can now go ahead after receiving European Commission approval.
