Electricity North West and UK Power Networks (UKPN) have signed an agreement to work together and have called on other utilities to take a collaborative approach to customer interests.

An electricity system developed by Electricity North West which could offer £1.2 billion in savings, was the sole awardee of Ofgem’s latest innovation assessment and has been recognised by the energy regulator as “exceptional.”
Ofgem has approved the national rollout of a new energy system developed by the network operator, Electricity North West (ENW), which the regulator precited could save consumers in Britain up to £1 billion.
Electricity North West has unveiled that over £10 million has been made available in order to facilitate the creation of a gigawatt of flexibility from 2023-28 across 30 locations in the North West.
