National Grid has been awarded £15.3 million from Ofgem’s Strategic Innvoation Fund (SIF) to develop new grid transmission solutions across several projects.

Energy regulator Ofgem has approved up to £95.3 million in funding that will go to ten projects focusing on clean heat, zero emission transport, data and digitalisation and whole system integration.
A total of eight research and development projects led by the National Grid have been collectively awarded £896,000 during the ‘discovery phase’ of Ofgem’s Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) programme.
