The latest data from ElectraLink has revealed that UK-wide smart meter installations have had a surprising rise in July, with 30,000 more meters installed than the previous month.
The downward trend in smart meter rollout has continued, with 9% fewer installations in June 2024 than the previous month and 15% fewer than in June 2023.
In May, the six-month moving average for changes of supplier (CoS) settled at around 225,000 for the sixth month in a row, data from ElectraLink shows.
New research conducted by energy data company ElectraLink has found that the number of consumers switching between large energy suppliers has reached a 30-month high.
Latest data from ElectraLink shows that the year of energy supplier "switching resurgence" ended with a 86% year-on-year (YoY) uplift in December 2023.
